Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Duty Assistant for a full-time, on-site role located in Salem. The General Duty Assistant will be responsible for tasks such as assisting patients with daily activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment, supporting mobility, helping with nutrition intake, and reporting any concerns about patient well-being to supervisors. The role requires substantial interaction with patients and other healthcare team members to ensure efficient care delivery and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Basic caregiving skills, including assisting patients with mobility, hygiene, and daily activities
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
• Attention to detail and observant nature to monitor patients' well-being and report any concerns
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment involving lifting, moving, and supporting patients
• Basic knowledge of healthcare or caregiving practices is preferred
• First aid or basic life support certification is desirable
