Aus Energies Victoria focuses on understanding each property’s energy use, space, and operational needs before recommending commercially sensible, technically suitable solutions, and may also provide LED lighting upgrades for additional efficiency gains.
Role Description: This is a full-time remote role for a Solar & Battery Sales Expert focused on the Australian market. The role involves engaging with residential and commercial prospects, qualifying leads, and conducting needs assessments to recommend suitable solar and battery solutions. The successful candidate will prepare proposals and quotes, explain system designs and financial benefits, and guide customers through product options, incentives, and funding structures. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, following up, conducting virtual consultations, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate system designs, compliant proposals, and smooth handovers to project delivery. The Solar & Battery Sales Expert will also keep up to date with Australian energy policies, rebates, and market trends, and contribute feedback to improve sales processes, tools, and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales and Retail Sales skills, with a proven ability to meet or exceed targets in a consultative selling environment.
- Excellent Customer Service and Customer Experience skills, with a focus on building trust, managing expectations, and supporting clients through the full sales cycle.
- Clear and confident Communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and financial benefits in simple, customer-friendly terms.
- Experience in solar, batteries, or broader renewable energy solutions in the Australian market is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with solar and battery system sizing, basic energy usage analysis, and common funding or incentive schemes is an advantage.
- Comfort with remote work, CRM tools, online meeting platforms, and digital sales processes.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a high volume of leads autonomously while collaborating effectively with technical and operations teams.
- Relevant experience in B2C and/or B2B sales; or a related field are beneficial.
