Role: Sales Development Representative (Upwork & Outbound Growth)
Location: Kolkata (On-site)
We are looking for a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to own client acquisition through Upwork while supporting outbound lead generation and business development initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys prospecting, writing winning proposals, managing client conversations, and building a strong sales pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Identify relevant opportunities on Upwork and submit high-quality, personalized proposals.
- Manage proposal follow-ups and nurture prospects until they convert into meetings.
- Build and maintain a structured sales pipeline and CRM.
- Track proposal performance, reply rates, and conversion metrics.
- Generate qualified meetings for the sales team.
- Support outbound prospecting through LinkedIn and other lead generation channels.
- Continuously improve proposal quality and outreach strategies to increase win rates.
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, or Upwork lead generation.
- Proven experience submitting successful Upwork proposals.
- Strong written English and proposal writing skills.
- Experience managing client conversations and qualifying leads.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and pipeline management.
- Target-driven with strong follow-up and relationship-building skills.
Bonus:
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Exposure to outbound sales and cold email campaigns.
- Experience selling agency, SaaS, or B2B services.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for proposal drafting and research.
- Experience working with HubSpot or similar CRM systems.
