Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for QC Piping Engineers based in Mumbai. The role involves inspecting and testing buttweld fittings, flanges, and related piping components to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. Daily tasks include reviewing technical drawings and material certificates, preparing and maintaining quality documentation, conducting in-process and final inspections, and coordinating with production teams to resolve non-conformities. QC Piping Engineers will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in quality practices and processes.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills, including inspection, testing, and documentation of piping components.
  • Candidates should possess solid Quality Management capabilities, including familiarity with quality systems, standards, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test results, and to identify root causes of quality issues.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with production, engineering, and client teams and to report findings clearly.
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with piping, flanges, and buttweld fittings, preferably in oil & gas, power, or heavy engineering sectors.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (such as ASME, ASTM, ISO) and familiarity with NDT methods is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in an industrial environment, with strong attention to detail and adherence to safety practices.
