Role Description The Quality Control Engineer will work full time on-site at the Chakan facility, overseeing the inspection and verification of automotive components and assemblies. Responsibilities include performing dimensional and visual inspections, monitoring production quality at various stages, and documenting test results and nonconformities. The role involves collaborating with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to identify root causes, implement corrective and preventive actions, and maintain quality standards. The Quality Control Engineer will support continuous improvement initiatives, update and follow quality control plans and procedures, and ensure compliance with customer specifications and relevant industry standards. Regular reporting, participation in internal audits, and training operators on quality requirements are also part of the day-to-day activities.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Control and Quality Assurance, with experience in inspection methods and quality tools.
- Analytical Skills and Quality Management capabilities to interpret data, monitor process performance, and drive improvements.
- Effective Communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, document findings, and present reports clearly.
- ITI,Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes, measurement instruments, and basic statistical quality techniques.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications and apply them in inspection activities.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to work on-site in a fast-paced production environment.
- Knowledge of ISO/TS or IATF-related quality systems is an advantage.
