Job Description – Manager Quality (Telecom Infrastructure, OFC & O&M)

Position - Manager – Quality

Reporting To - Head – Quality & Safety and Business Head

Summery

To establish, implement, and continuously improve quality assurance and quality control processes across Telecom Construction, Fiber Optic Network Deployment, Railway Telecom Projects, Electrical Installations, Civil Works, and Telecom Operation & Maintenance activities, Ensuring inward material quality control, compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and organizational quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

    • Implement and maintain ISO 9001-based Quality Management System.
    • Develop quality procedures, inspection checklists, quality plans, and work instructions.
    • Conduct internal audits and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Monitor quality KPIs and improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure quality compliance in Telecom tower construction (BSNL, Railways etc.), OFC laying, splicing, testing, and commissioning, Electrical equipment installations, Telecom O&M activities
    • Verify adherence to approved drawings, technical specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards.
    • Conduct site inspections, surveillance audits, and quality reviews.
    • Review and approve inspection and test reports.
    • Monitor material quality, vendor certifications, and testing records.
    • Ensure timely preparation of quality dossiers, handover documents, and as-built records.
    • Interface with customers during quality audits and project inspections.
    • Monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance.
    • Manage non-conformities, customer complaints, and corrective actions.
    • Lead Root Cause Analysis using various quality tools.
    • Drive defect reduction, rework elimination, and process improvements.
    • Promote a culture of quality awareness across projects and O&M teams.
Qualification & Experience

Education: B.E./B. Tech in Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related Engineering discipline.

Experience: 8–15 years in Telecom Infrastructure, OFC, O&M, EPC, Civil, or Railway Telecom projects, with at least 3 years in a quality management role.
