Job Summary

As we scale, we’re looking for a hands-on Brand Manager to own our new product launches end-to-end—from the moment a product is greenlit to the day it’s live and selling across our website and marketplaces.

  • This is a high-ownership role working directly with the Founder. You won’t be managing a launch through layers of teams—you’ll be the one making it happen.

Key Responsibilities

Branding & Packaging

  • Develop product positioning, naming, and messaging in line with our brand identity.
  • Manage end-to-end packaging development: brief designers, coordinate with print/packaging vendors, handle sampling, approvals, and label compliance (MRP, barcodes, statutory requirements).

Content & Creative Production

  • Plan and manage product photoshoots and video shoots (briefing, coordination, quality control).
  • Get product images, infographics, A+ content, user manuals, and launch videos produced through freelancers/agencies and ensure they meet brand standards.
  • Write or refine product copy: titles, descriptions, bullet points, manuals.

Listings & Cataloging

  • Create and optimize product listings on the website (Shopify) and marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.).
  • Own keyword research, backend search terms, pricing setup, and catalog hygiene.

Launch Execution

  • Build and run the launch calendar for every new product.
  • Coordinate with operations for inventory readiness and with marketing for launch campaigns, emails, and promotions.
  • Plan review-generation and early traction initiatives.
  • Track first 60–90 day performance and iterate on listings/content based on data.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare and share weekly and monthly account performance reports for the Founder.
  • Track DRR, MRR, sell-through, account health metrics, ratings, reviews, and return rates across accounts.
  • Analyze customer complaints, negative ratings, and return data—flag patterns and recommend fixes.
  • Maintain a simple business dashboard for assigned accounts using Google Sheets.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-have

  • 1–3 years in a D2C brand or e-commerce agency, with hands-on experience launching products (not just maintaining existing catalogs).
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and/or Flipkart Seller Hub, and Shopify (or similar).
  • Strong project management skills—you’ll be juggling designers, photographers, printers, vendors, and marketplaces simultaneously.
  • Good design sensibility and copywriting ability—you can brief creatives sharply and spot what’s off-brand.
  • A bias for execution: you chase, follow up, and close loops without being reminded.
  • High ownership mindset—you close loops, you don’t pass them.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities in a startup environment.
