What the Role Looks Like

  • Drive B2B sales of scrap, ferro alloys, and industrial raw materials within the assigned territory
  • Acquire new manufacturing customers and expand existing key accounts
  • Conduct technical and commercial discussions with plant teams and procurement heads
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and ensure profitable deal closures
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycle including receivables and account growth
  • Gather market intelligence and identify growth opportunities

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly driven B2B Sales professional to manage and grow business within the assigned territory. The role involves new customer acquisition, key account management, and driving revenue through solution-based selling of industrial raw materials while ensuring profitability and strong customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Revenue Achievement

  • Drive revenue growth in the assigned territory by achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Ensure consistent conversion of opportunities into business closures


2. Gross Margin / P&L / Product Mix Optimization

  • Maintain and improve gross margins through effective pricing and negotiation
  • Optimize product mix to maximize profitability
  • Ensure P&L accountability for the assigned accounts/territory


3. Key Account Management & Customer Retention

  • Manage and grow existing key accounts
  • Build strong relationships with CXOs, Plant Heads, and procurement teams
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business


4. New Customer Acquisition & Territory Development

  • Identify and acquire new customers in foundries, steel plants, and manufacturing units
  • Drive territory expansion through structured field visits and networking
  • Build a strong pipeline of potential clients


5. Market Intelligence & Cross-functional Coordination

  • Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market movements
  • Coordinate with procurement, operations, and logistics teams for execution
  • Provide insights to strengthen sales and sourcing strategy


6. Sales Pipeline Management, CRM & Reporting

  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and track conversion ratios
  • Ensure accurate and timely CRM updates
  • Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and performance dashboards


7. Receivables & Collection Efficiency

  • Monitor outstanding payments and ensure timely collections
  • Work closely with finance teams to reduce credit risk and overdue balances


Skills & Experience We’re Looking For:

Must-Have

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-facing B2B sales experience
  • Experience in lead generation, cold calling, and account management
  • Basic technical understanding of industrial/raw material products
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory


Good-to-Have

  • Experience in industries like Metal Manufacturing, Steel, Foundry, Ferro Alloys, Scrap Recycling, or Industrial B2B sectors
  • Exposure to companies like Tata Steel, JSW, SAIL, Vedanta, or similar industrial players
  • Experience in industrial product sales or solution selling
  • Understanding of supply chain and procurement processes
