Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Namakkal. The Video Editor will handle end-to-end post-production tasks, including assembling raw footage, cutting and trimming clips, synchronizing audio, and creating coherent, engaging narratives. Day-to-day responsibilities include adding transitions, effects, graphics, and subtitles, color correcting and grading, and exporting final deliverables in required formats and resolutions. The role involves closely collaborating with directors, producers, and creative teams to interpret project briefs, maintain brand consistency, and meet deadlines. The Video Editor will also manage project files, maintain organized archives of footage, and proactively contribute creative ideas to enhance overall video quality.
Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency with industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic motion graphics tools.
  • Experience with audio editing and mixing, including synchronization, noise reduction, and balancing music, dialogue, and sound effects.
  • Skills in color correction and grading, as well as understanding of video formats, codecs, frame rates, and export settings for different platforms.
  • Ability to interpret creative briefs, apply storytelling principles, and maintain visual and brand consistency across multiple projects.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines on-site.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to receive feedback and iterate on edits as needed.
  • Relevant education or training in film, media, visual communication, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience is also valued.
  • Portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous video editing work across different formats (e.g., short-form, social media, corporate, or commercial content).
