Vice President – People Partner, Technology & Operations


Role Overview

Our client is seeking a senior Human Resources leader to serve as a strategic people partner for large, complex technology and operations organizations. This role supports leaders and their teams across both salaried and hourly populations, acting as a trusted advisor on workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness, and employee experience.


In this position, you will play a key role as a change leader, culture advocate, and inclusion champion. You will collaborate closely with business leaders to drive engagement, strengthen leadership capability, and support high-performing, adaptable teams. The role also has responsibility for advancing engagement and connection within hybrid and virtual workforce hubs, with a preference for candidates located near a primary service center in the Midwest.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic HR Partnership

  • Provide end-to-end HR business partnership for technology and operations leaders and their organizations
  • Advise leaders on talent strategy, including workforce planning, hiring, retention, succession, and development
  • Support performance management, compensation planning, employee relations, and benefits-related initiatives
  • Act as a thought partner to leaders on organizational design and team effectiveness

Culture, Engagement & Change

  • Design and execute engagement strategies that reinforce company values, flexibility, and inclusive culture
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across teams and leadership levels
  • Partner with leaders to navigate organizational change, ensuring clear communication and strong adoption
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with employees and leaders through proactive engagement

Leadership & Capability Development

  • Coach leaders on people management, performance conversations, and conflict resolution
  • Identify and implement development programs to strengthen leadership pipelines and succession readiness
  • Facilitate team workshops and leadership sessions to support collaboration and effectiveness

Talent & Workforce Support

  • Partner with external recruiting firms and internal talent teams to attract diverse, high-quality candidates
  • Support geographically dispersed and matrixed teams, including remote and hybrid work environments
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional HR initiatives and special projects as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 9 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
  • OR equivalent professional experience without a degree
  • Demonstrated experience in an HR generalist or HR business partner role
  • Strong background supporting senior leaders and mixed exempt/non-exempt workforces
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders across distributed or matrixed organizations
  • Proven project management and strategic partnering capabilities

Preferred Experience & Attributes

  • Background in financial services, technology, or highly regulated environments
  • Experience supporting large-scale operations or contact center organizations
  • Prior experience working with remote or virtual teams
  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Strong coaching, employee relations, and conflict management skills
  • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building abilities
  • High level of influence and effectiveness in fast-paced, evolving environments


Compensation

This role is aligned to Level 12. The annual base salary range is $110,000 – $185,000 USD, with eligibility for performance-based incentive compensation. Final compensation will be based on experience, skill set, and geographic location, with market adjustments applied in select regions.

Employment Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Employment is contingent upon completion of background screening, fingerprinting, and drug testing
  • Must meet applicable federal regulatory requirements
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available
