Mintoak is looking to hire a Foundations Designer to define, build, and scale a centralized design system that will serve as core in-house IP for all Mintoak products across its enterprise portfolio.

This role sits at the intersection of design systems, product design, and platform thinking. You will be responsible for creating robust foundations that ensure consistency, scalability, and speed across teams while also contributing to product design where required.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Systems and Foundations

• Own the end-to-end creation and evolution of Mintoak’s design system across web and mobile products

• Define and document core foundations including typography, color systems, spacing, grids, iconography, motion, and accessibility standards

• Build and maintain scalable, reusable components and patterns that support multiple products and use cases

• Ensure the design system supports enterprise-grade requirements while remaining flexible for fast product iterations

• Establish governance models for adoption, versioning, and contribution

Product Design Contribution

• Collaborate with product designers to apply the design system across real product experiences

• Contribute to key product workflows, UI patterns, and screens when required

• Balance system thinking with hands-on product design execution

Collaboration & Process

• Work closely with engineering, product, and UX teams to ensure seamless design-to-development handoff

• Partner with frontend engineers to ensure components are production-ready and technically feasible

• Advocate for design consistency, usability, and accessibility across teams

Quality & Craft

• Maintain a high bar for visual design, interaction design, and usability

• Ensure all designs follow accessibility best practices (WCAG)

• Continuously refine foundations based on product feedback and evolving needs

Skills & Experience:

• Strong understanding of the entire product design lifecycle - from discovery to delivery

• Hands-on expertise with tools like Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, tokens,

libraries)

Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in product design, with strong exposure to design systems or foundations work

• Proven experience working in fast-paced startup environments

• Ability to think in systems, patterns, and scalability, not just screens

• Strong collaboration skills with engineering and product partners

• An excellent portfolio demonstrating:

- Design systems or foundational work

- High-quality product design outcomes

- Clear design thinking and rationale

Location: Marol, Mumbai

Compensation: As per industry standards

Pay: ₹58,000.00 - ₹67,000.00 per month
