Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented US Accounting Team Lead to oversee the accounting operations and ensure compliance with US GAAP and financial regulations. This role involves managing a team of accountants, overseeing financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Compliance:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
Supervise and guide the accounting team in general ledger management, month-end & year-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and other regulatory reports.
Monitor compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and performance management.
Allocate tasks, set performance goals, and ensure continuous training & development for the team.
Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment to ensure team success.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Review and analyze P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and other financial data.
Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and forecasting.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership for process improvements and cost optimization.
Process Improvement & System Management:
Implement and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Work closely with IT and finance teams to improve ERP systems and automation of accounting processes.
Drive efficiency improvements in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and financial reporting functions.
Audit & Compliance:
Coordinate with external auditors and internal teams for audits.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Assist in resolving audit issues and responding to inquiries.
Qualifications & Skills:
CA qualified or CA Inter (IPCC) cleared from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
5+ years of experience in US accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced proficiency in Excel.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
