Role Description The Student Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Vijayawada. The counselor will guide students through course and country selection, clarify admission requirements, and support them in preparing strong applications. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, responding to student and parent inquiries, maintaining accurate records in internal systems, and coordinating with coaching and admissions teams. The role also involves explaining test preparation options, outlining visa and financial documentation processes, and ensuring students are well-prepared for interviews and pre-departure formalities. The counselor is expected to provide empathetic, accurate, and timely guidance, uphold service standards, and contribute to outreach activities such as seminars or information sessions.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to support learners in making informed academic and career decisions.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to explain complex processes clearly and interact effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.
  • Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to deliver professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented support throughout the student journey.
  • Candidates should possess a background or interest in Education to understand academic pathways, testing requirements, and international university systems.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, counseling, or a related field are preferred.
  • Prior experience in overseas education consulting, academic advising, or student support services will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work with MS Office or similar tools, maintain detailed records, and manage multiple student cases simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages and familiarity with international education destinations (UK, USA, Australia, Canada, etc.) are beneficial.
