About the Role
The State Head is responsible for driving end‑to‑end sales performance and revenue growth within their designated state. This role manages Area Sales Managers, Sales Executives, and channel partners, ensuring strong on‑ground execution, consistent achievement of targets, and robust market expansion.
The State Head owns state‑level targets, team performance, pressure handling, channel development, and opportunity creation, acting as the critical link between regional leadership and field execution.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & State Growth
- Own and achieve monthly and annual sales targets for the state
- Develop and execute state‑specific sales plans aligned with regional strategy
- Identify new markets, channels, dealer networks, and growth opportunities
- Drive new business acquisition and expand revenue within existing accounts
- Ensure strong retail visibility, channel health, and market penetration
Team Leadership & Execution
- Lead, coach, and performance‑manage ASMs and the state sales team
- Set clear targets and ensure consistent high achievement under pressure
- Support hiring, onboarding, and capability development of sales teams
- Drive accountability, field discipline, and strong execution culture
- Conduct regular market visits to ensure real‑time insights and on‑ground control
Business Performance & Analytics
- Track daily/weekly sales performance, pipeline, and productivity
- Analyze market trends, product performance, and territory strengths
- Identify gaps and drive immediate corrective actions
- Prepare state‑level reports, forecasts, and insights for regional leadership
- Maintain strong data‑driven decision-making and performance tracking

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development
• Proven experience managing a state or large territory
• Experience in appliances, consumer durables, or related industries preferred
