Role Description The Senior Academic Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role involves guiding prospective and current learners through academic pathways, helping them select suitable programs, and clarifying course structures, requirements, and outcomes. The Senior Academic Counselor will conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions, respond to queries through multiple channels, and support learners in making informed decisions about their education and career progression. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with faculty and program teams, tracking learner progress, contributing to student engagement initiatives, and maintaining accurate records of counseling interactions. The role also involves providing feedback to internal stakeholders on learner needs and trends to help refine programs and support services.
Qualifications
  • Strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to support learners in academic and career decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Academic Advising and a solid understanding of Education systems and practices.
  • Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with diverse learner profiles.
  • Experience in higher education, executive education, or edtech, with the ability to work collaboratively with academic and operations teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases, maintain confidentiality, and use counseling tools or CRM systems effectively.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a learner-centric approach, with comfort working in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Bengaluru.
