Job Title: Spare Parts Head/Parts Manager
Experience: 8–15 Years
Location: Porur Chennai
Industry: Automobile Dealership / Automotive
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Spare Parts Head to manage the complete spare parts operations of the dealership. The role involves inventory control, parts sales, vendor coordination, and ensuring availability of parts to support workshop and retail requirements efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end spare parts operations (procurement, storage, and distribution)
- Ensure availability of fast-moving and critical spare parts at all times
- Manage inventory levels, stock planning, and reorder systems
- Monitor and control dead stock, slow-moving items, and stock ageing
- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for timely procurement
- Supervise parts team, assign duties, and monitor performance
- Ensure proper billing, documentation, and system updates (DMS)
- Support workshop operations by ensuring timely parts supply
- Drive retail counter sales and achieve parts revenue targets
- Conduct periodic stock audits and ensure stock accuracy
- Maintain warehouse discipline, safety, and housekeeping standards
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of automobile spare parts and dealership operations
- Inventory management and stock control expertise
- Leadership and team management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Familiarity with DMS/ERP systems
- Good communication and vendor management skills
Eligibility Criteria:
- Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Automobile / Mechanical or related field
- Experience: 8–15 years in automobile spare parts operations
- Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership/managerial role
- Preferred: Experience in authorized dealership (Maruti, Hyundai, Honda, etc.)
Key KPIs (Performance Indicators):
- Parts availability ratio
- Inventory turnover ratio
- Reduction in dead/slow-moving stock
- Parts revenue achievement
- Workshop off-road time reduction
- Stock accuracy & audit compliance
Salary:
- ₹4 LPA – ₹8 LPA (Based on experience & brand)
