Job Overview
- Ensure monthly closing of books accurately and on time
- Prepare GL reconciliation in time
- Maintain Fixed Assets in SAP correctly and on time
- Ensure timely Inter Company reconciliations
- Support information for monthly submissions of cashflow
- Ensure filing of statutory (Audit / other compliance) returns in time
- Support completion of Statutory, Internal, ad hoc audits in time
- Prepare and submit month end reporting for relevant company codes within APAC (wherever required)
- To co-ordinate and facilitate annual financial statement audits with external and internal audit firms
- Perform internal SOX self-testing when required
- Implementation of Global standardization, simplification, automation initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Support completion of statutory audits, internal audits, and SOX testing within required timelines.
- Assist tax teams with accounting records and transactions for compliance and lodgments.
- Prepare and certify monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations via Blackline with proper supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather timely information for reconciliations and reporting.
- Contribute to month-end reporting preparation and reviews for corporate/APAC accounting.
- Calculate and book journal entries for month-end closing, ensuring books are closed accurately by WD4.
- Ensure intercompany balances and bank reconciliations are completed on time.
- Maintain Fixed Assets in SAP, ensuring compliance with US Group Policy and reconciliation between IGAAP and UGAAP.
- Oversee physical verification of Fixed Assets in line with company policy.
- Uphold strong internal controls through SOX self-testing and support team development.
- Drive process improvements by implementing new group templates and global initiatives in standardization, simplification, and automation.
What You’ll Need
- Qualified or Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant
- 3 to 5 years of experience in relevant industry, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- Proficiency with SAP specifically in GL & FA Modules, Advance skills in MS office- Excel and Power Point
- Demonstrated experience managing month-end closing process and financial reporting
- Specific work experience in handling audit of financial statements with strong technical accounting knowledge with GAAP/IFRS
- Strong focus on Internal Controls and Compliance
- High level of resilience and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
