Job Description – Scrum Master cum Business Analyst (Cloud: Azure, AWS, GCP)
1. Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated Scrum Master cum Business Analyst to support cloud transformation and platform engineering initiatives across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. The role requires a professional who can effectively combine Agile project facilitation with strong business analysis capabilities to drive successful delivery of cloud solutions.
The candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, cloud architects, engineering teams, and product owners, ensuring that cloud initiatives are aligned with business goals and delivered using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Agile delivery, requirements gathering, cloud platforms, backlog management, stakeholder communication, and program coordination in complex enterprise environments.
2. Roles & Responsibilities
Agile Facilitation & Scrum Leadership
Act as Scrum Master for cloud engineering and platform teams.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including:
Sprint Planning
Daily Stand-ups
Sprint Reviews
Sprint Retrospectives
Ensure Agile principles and Scrum practices are effectively followed.
Remove impediments and blockers impacting delivery teams.
Promote continuous improvement and team collaboration.
Business Analysis & Requirement Management
Gather and analyze business and technical requirements for cloud initiatives.
Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to define priorities.
Maintain and manage the product backlog and sprint backlog.
Ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation.
Cloud Transformation Support
Work with cloud architects and engineers on initiatives related to:
Cloud migration
Cloud-native application development
Infrastructure modernization
DevOps and automation
Support planning and execution of cloud adoption roadmaps.
Stakeholder Coordination
Serve as the primary interface between business teams, product owners, and engineering teams.
Conduct workshops and requirement gathering sessions.
Provide regular status updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
Facilitate decision-making and prioritization discussions.
Backlog & Delivery Management
Create and maintain epics, features, and user stories.
Ensure backlog items are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
Track sprint progress and delivery metrics.
Support release planning and roadmap development.
Reporting & Metrics
Track and report Agile metrics such as:
Sprint velocity
Burn-down charts
Delivery progress
Team performance metrics
Provide dashboards and reports for program management and leadership teams.
Risk & Dependency Management
Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
Coordinate cross-team dependencies within cloud and platform teams.
Escalate issues to leadership when required.
Documentation & Process Governance
Maintain documentation including:
Business requirement documents (BRDs)
Functional requirement documents (FRDs)
User story documentation
Agile artifacts
Ensure compliance with organizational governance frameworks and Agile best practices.
