Job Description

Preparation of design, Bill of Quantities, Good for Construction Drawings, etc., for Fire Protection System in Metro Projects, Road tunnels, Car Parks, OCC Buildings, Industrial Buildings.
Review of tender documents and preparation of BOQ for fire protection systems
Perform all fire protection design activities and coordinate with Architect, Structure, Electrical, ELV systems, Piping, PHE and HVAC Engineering to ensure quality compliance in accordance with client & owner expectations in most economical manner
Coordinate with various stakeholders for vendor finalisation of fire protection equipment and systems
Vendor Management including obtaining details from vendor, review of vendor documents, shop drawings etc. for fire protection components
Obtain all approvals from Stake holders – Clients, Client representative, Consultant, Approval authorities, and Fire Department
Visiting project sites for verifying and resolving all fire protection design related issues

Requirements

Should have experience in design of Fire Protection systems (fire hydrant system, sprinkler system, Spray System, Foam System, Gas flooding System) for above mentioned projects
Should be Conversant with Indian & international codes, statutory requirements and Standards used in the design of Fire Protection systems (NFPA, NBC, IS codes, local fire authority regulations)
Ability to work as a team and coordinate with other services (Architecture, Structure, and other MEP services)
Knowledge on specification of materials and equipment used in Fire Protection systems
Should be well versed with all software's used in fire protection design (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, hydraulic calculation software)
Knowledge on installation and commissioning of Fire Protection systems and components
Knowledge on Design, installation, and operation maintenance of fire pumps, water storage tanks, sprinkler systems, and firefighting equipment.
