Sales Manager

Sales Manager – Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) is responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and managing key customer relationships within the pharmaceutical industry. The role focuses on promoting and selling API products to pharmaceutical manufacturers, contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), and formulation companies while achieving revenue and profitability targets.

• Promote the company's API portfolio by understanding customer requirements and offering suitable solutions.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve annual sales targets.
• Identify, develop, and acquire new customers in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.
• Manage and grow relationships with existing customers through regular engagement and technical discussions.
• Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals, pricing, contracts, and supply agreements.
• Coordinate with regulatory, quality assurance, supply chain, and technical teams to ensure timely customer support and product delivery.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and emerging business opportunities.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and pipeline updates using CRM tools.
• Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to develop business growth strategies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable pharmaceutical regulations and company policies.
• Monitor campaign performance and suggest improvements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy/ Chemistry / Biotechnology / Chemical Engineering / Life Sciences or a related discipline.
• MBA in Marketing or Business Management is preferred.

Experience:

• 1–4 years of experience in sales/marketing (preferably in API industries, Speciality Chemicals, Fine chemicals, Medical Representative)
