About Export Desi-

Export Desi is an early‑stage export startup helping Indian manufacturers, farmers, and brands sell their products to international markets. We work with a wide range of products including food, spices, ingredients, snacks, pharmaceuticals, textiles, handicrafts, botanicals, and industrial goods.

We manage the entire export journey, product sourcing, packaging, branding, logistics, and documentation. We are now looking for a Sales Calling & Lead Generation Intern to help us build a strong outbound pipeline of international buyers and business partners.

About the Role-

This is a hands‑on sales internship focused on outbound calling and lead generation. You will work directly with the founder and core team to:

  • Identify potential B2B customers for Indian products in global markets.
  • Reach out via calls and emails.
  • Qualify interested leads and hand them over to the core sales/export team.

It’s a great role if you want to learn B2B sales, international trade, and startup growth from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities-

Lead Research & Prospecting:

  • Research and build lists of potential buyers (importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers) in target countries.
  • Use online directories, trade portals, LinkedIn, and other sources to find decision‑makers and contact details.

Outbound Calling & Outreach:

  • Make cold and warm calls to prospects to introduce Export Desi and understand their sourcing needs.
  • Send follow‑up emails/WhatsApp messages to prospects after calls.
  • Ask the right questions to qualify leads (product interest, volumes, budget, timelines, decision‑making process).

Lead Qualification & Handover:

  • Mark leads as hot/warm/cold based on interest and fit.
  • Schedule follow‑up calls or meetings for qualified leads with the founder/senior team.
  • Share clear notes and context so the core team can take the conversation forward smoothly.

Tracking & Reporting:

  • Maintain an accurate and up‑to‑date lead database in Excel/Google Sheets or a simple CRM.
  • Track daily/weekly activity: calls made, connections, emails sent, responses received, qualified leads generated.
  • Share simple reports and insights on what messaging and markets are working best.
