Job Description
The Reservation Manager is responsible for managing all reservation activities for the resort, ensuring accurate bookings, maximizing occupancy, and delivering exceptional guest service. The role involves coordinating with sales, front office, and operations teams to ensure a seamless guest experience from booking to arrival.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all room reservations through phone, email, website, OTAs, and travel agents.
- Monitor daily booking status, availability, and occupancy levels.
- Coordinate safari bookings and special guest requests related to the Gir National Park experience.
- Maintain accurate records in the Property Management System (PMS).
- Handle group reservations, corporate bookings, and travel agent inquiries.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing team to maximize resort occupancy.
- Respond to guest inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Train and supervise reservation staff when required.
- Prepare reservation reports and booking forecasts for management.
- Ensure proper communication with the front office and operations team for guest arrivals.
Skills Required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong knowledge of hotel reservation systems (PMS/Channel Manager/OTA platforms)
- Ability to manage multiple bookings and priorities
- Good coordination and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in booking management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management (preferred)
- 3–5 years experience in hotel reservations or front office operations
- Experience in luxury resorts or wildlife hospitality is an advantage
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with luxury resorts or wildlife destinations
- Knowledge of safari booking procedures in Gir National Park
- Familiarity with OTA platforms like Booking.com, MakeMyTrip, and Agoda
