Role Description We have opening for Regional Sales Engineer for East based in Kolkata. This is a full-time, on-site role. This role is responsible for managing and growing sales within the assigned region by identifying new opportunities, nurturing existing accounts, and presenting appropriate photonics solutions to customers. Day-to-day activities include meeting with clients, conducting technical product demonstrations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating terms in alignment with company guidelines. The role also involves tracking market trends, maintaining a structured sales pipeline, preparing regular sales reports, and representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales Engineering skills with the ability to understand customer applications, specify appropriate photonics solutions, and translate technical features into business value.
- Proficiency in Sales activities including lead generation, account development, and closing deals .
- Experience in Technical Support, including handling pre-sales technical queries, assisting with product selection, and coordinating with inside sales team for solutions.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer Service mindset, with proven ability to build long-term relationships, manage expectations, and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, or a related technical field; a background in photonics, lasers, or optical systems is preferred.
- Ability to travel within the assigned region as required for customer meetings, site visits, and events.
- Strong organizational skills, proficiency with CRM tools, and comfort working toward sales targets and deadlines.
