Position Details

Position: Project Research Scientist-III (Medical)

Number of Posts: 01

Honorarium: ₹13,39,200/- per annum (approximately ₹1,11,600/- per month), as per ICMR norms, qualifications, merit, and relevant experience.

Duration: three years

Job Location:

Mahatma Gandhi Tribal Hospital, Karmagram, Village Utavali, Tahsil Dharni (Melghat), District Amravati, Maharashtra – 444702. The position involves extensive field work throughout Amravati District.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all activities of Field Team-1.
  • Supervise and provide scientific guidance to all three field teams.
  • Monitor day-to-day project implementation and review reports submitted by field staff.
  • Train and mentor research personnel in research methodology and study procedures.
  • Assist the Principal Investigator in preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical reports, scientific manuscripts, and other project documents.
  • Coordinate research-related administrative activities assigned by the Principal Investigator.
  • Conduct community-based and hospital-based research activities.
  • Ensure compliance with ICMR guidelines, ethical standards, and project protocols.
  • Support implementation of the Government of India’s National Sickle Cell Elimination Mission.

Essential Qualification

  • MBBS or BDS with a Master of Public Health (MPH).
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in public health, clinical research, implementation research, or community-based research.

Desirable Qualification

  • Ph.D. in Public Health, Community Medicine, Epidemiology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in implementation research, tribal health, sickle cell disease programmes, scientific writing, and project management will be preferred.

Selection Process
