Role Description The Pricing Specialist – Freight Forwarding is responsible for preparing competitive freight quotations, analyzing rate structures, and supporting pricing decisions for international and domestic shipments. This full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru involves daily coordination with carriers, agents, and internal operations teams to obtain and negotiate buying rates for freight transportation. The role includes reviewing customer inquiries, calculating detailed cost breakdowns, and ensuring timely submission of accurate pricing proposals. The specialist will maintain and update rate databases, monitor market trends, and provide pricing insights to sales and customer service teams. The position also requires close communication with customers to clarify requirements, resolve pricing-related queries, and support smooth handover from quotation to execution.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Freight Forwarding and Freight Transportation operations, including air, sea, and road modes.
• Candidates should possess experience in Forwarding and Export processes, such as documentation, incoterms, and customs-related requirements.
• Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to handle inquiries, manage expectations, and build long-term client relationships.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in pricing analysis, rate negotiation, and basic cost modeling for logistics services.
• Candidates should possess strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and capability to work with spreadsheets and pricing tools.
• Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Candidates should possess prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain roles; experience in pricing or sales support is an advantage.
• Candidates should possess a relevant educational background in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field; professional certifications in logistics are a plus.
