RF PA design engineer

Broadcom WSD (Wireless Semiconductor Division) is looking for an experienced RF Power Amplifier Design Engineer to join our team. As an RF power amplifier designer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing RF power amplifiers, performing simulations, and correlating them with measured results.
• Analyzing and resolving issues arising in RF PA systems.
• Proposing advanced PA architectures to improve efficiency and linearity.
• Simulating the full transmitter (Tx) chain.
  
  
  

To perform these responsibilities, the following minimum qualifications are required.

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in power amplifier (PA) design using GaAs HBT technology.
• Hand-on experience designing ET, APT, and Doherty PAs.
• Proficiency with ADS, Cadence Virtuoso, HFSS, and ETH.
• Strong understanding of ET/APT behavior, including linearity, memory effects, AM-PM distortion, and thermal effects.
• Strong understanding of ET tracker architecture and operation.

Compensation And Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $192,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
