Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Molecular Technologist role based in New Delhi. The Molecular Technologist will perform routine and specialized molecular diagnostic tests, including sample preparation, nucleic acid extraction, amplification, and analysis in accordance with established protocols.
Responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, monitoring test quality, documenting procedures and results accurately, and adhering to laboratory safety and quality standards.
The role involves collaborating with laboratory medicine professionals to interpret findings, support validation of new assays, and contribute to continuous improvement in workflows. The Molecular Technologist will also assist in inventory management, participate in training activities, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong laboratory skills, including hands-on experience with molecular techniques and Laboratory Medicine practices.
- Knowledge of Laboratory Equipment operation, calibration, and basic maintenance.
- Understanding of Laboratory Safety principles and adherence to biosafety and infection control protocols.
- Experience with Quality Control procedures, documentation, and compliance in a clinical or research laboratory.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in molecular diagnostics or clinical genomics laboratory settings is preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed protocols, maintain accurate records, and work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with laboratory information systems and basic data analysis tools.
