Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MEP Quantity Surveyor role based in Bengaluru. The MEP Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing and reviewing quantity take-offs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works, and developing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for tendering and execution. The role involves monitoring project costs, preparing cost plans and budgets, and updating cost reports to track variances against estimates. The individual will coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams to validate measurements, support valuations, and assist in contract administration related to MEP works. The position also requires participation in client and contractor meetings, supporting negotiations, and ensuring that cost control procedures are consistently applied throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and measurement for MEP systems.
  • Strong skills in cost planning and cost management for construction or engineering projects.
  • Experience in cost control and cost reporting, including tracking budgets, forecasts, and variations.
  • Proficiency with relevant quantity surveying and estimation software, and strong MS Excel skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of standard methods of measurement, contracts, and MEP construction practices.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents accurately.
  • Effective communication, analytical, and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Prior experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor or in a similar cost-focused role in construction is preferred.
