Role Description The Assistant Quantity Surveyor role at BDO India is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The role involves assisting in preparation and review of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), supporting cost planning and cost estimation for projects, and helping maintain accurate cost records. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will contribute to ongoing cost control activities, track project budgets, and support preparation of regular cost reports and forecasts. The role also includes coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, supporting tender documentation, and ensuring compliance with project standards and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in BOQ preparation and related quantity measurement.
  • Candidates should possess skills in cost planning and cost management for construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Candidates should possess skills in cost control and monitoring of project budgets and expenditures.
  • Candidates should possess skills in cost reporting, including preparation of periodic cost statements and forecasts.
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and Excel skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and project specifications, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Effective communication skills and willingness to learn and grow within a professional services environment.
