Title: US Accounting Manager AP, AR & GL

Location: Thane (Hybrid)

Shift: 2:00 PM 11:00 PM

Workdays: 5 Days a Week

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced US Accounting Manager to lead end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) operations for a US-based client in the reinsurance and warranty sector. The role requires a hands-on leader who can ensure operational excellence, maintain strong financial controls, and drive continuous process improvements while collaborating closely with international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage AP, AR, and GL teams, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to timelines.
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Own and manage month-end close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure financial data integrity.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Act as the primary point of contact for US finance stakeholders.
• Mentor, guide, and develop team members to enhance performance and capability.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 8+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2+ years in a people management role.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or Oracle NetSuite.
• Experience handling international clients; exposure to insurance or financial services domains preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
