About Us

At PedalStart, we run a sector-agnostic early-stage startup accelerator fund, supporting founders and backing them from ideation to pre-series stages. Our mission is to empower founders with the resources and expertise necessary for rapid scaling. We typically write $100-150k cheques across domains and actively invest in up rounds through our network of angels and VCs.


Role Overview:

PedalStart is seeking a sharp Investor Relations professional to drive investor relationships and capital deployment across our startup portfolio. This role is deeply focused on capital raising, investor activation, deal facilitation, and portfolio-level investor engagement, ensuring consistent capital access for PedalStart-backed startups.


The role requires strong investment understanding, disciplined follow-ups, and the ability to translate startup opportunities into compelling investment narratives for early-stage investors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage relationships with angel investors, HNIs, family offices, micro-VCs, and syndicate partners
  • Drive capital commitments and cheque conversions across PedalStart cohorts and portfolio startups
  • Act as a bridge between investors’ portfolio goals and startup opportunities, ensuring relevant deal matching
  • Curate and share investment opportunities, pitch decks, data rooms, and performance updates with investors
  • Manage the investment lifecycle from interest → diligence → commitment → closure
  • Track investor participation, ticket sizes, and deployment timelines with strong CRM discipline
  • Ensure consistent post-investment communication including updates, performance tracking, and portfolio highlights
  • Support demo days and curated investor pitch sessions with a strong conversion focus


Key Deliverables/ KPIs

  • Capital deployed / facilitated across PedalStart startups.
  • Investor conversion rate (interest to cheque).
  • Average ticket size and repeat investments.
  • Active investor base and deployment frequency.
  • Pipeline accuracy, closure timelines, and CRM hygiene.


What are we looking for

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • 1–2.5 years of experience in investor relations, wealth management, VC/angel networks, fintech, or startup fundraising
  • Understanding of early-stage investing, term sheets, valuation basics, and deal flow dynamics
  • Experience handling investor conversations with a focus on capital allocation and relationship management
  • Ability to align investment opportunities with investor preferences and risk-return expectations
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Prior exposure to accelerators, VC funds, syndicates, or wealth platforms is a plus
