An Inventory Accountant maintains accurate and complete financial records, not limited to preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting monthly and annual close processes.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate of BS Accountancy
1 year relevant experience in inventory/ accounts payable. Fresh graduates with internships may be considered.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments.
Experience with accounting software and spreadsheets.
Must possess analytical, mathematical, and inventory accounting skills.
Must be keen on details, reports, and must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data entered into the general ledger.
Reconciling accounts to ensure balances are accurate and consistent.
Preparing and posting accurate journal entries to reflect financial transactions.
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Analyzing financial information to identify trends and potential issues.
Monitor and record all inventory transactions, reconciling the general ledger with physical stock counts.
Ability to scrutinize data to verify any discrepancies within the system and the billing statement received, and the reconciliation of inventory.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory count.
Identify trends, suggest improvements for accuracy, and optimize inventory levels.
Work with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Sales, and Warehouse teams for accurate forecasting
