Oister Global is India’s premier Private Markets Asset Manager. Born from Lumis Partners’ 20-year legacy in India’s private markets, Oister represents the next evolution of that ecosystem built on deep relationships across GPs, founders, and family offices, with roots spanning sectors, strategies, and asset classes.


We are looking for a hands-on People & Culture professional to own the end-to-end employee lifecycle at Oister. This individual contributor role will be responsible for driving talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, payroll & compliance, policy implementation, and culture-building initiatives. The role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to work closely with leadership in shaping the people function of a growing organization.


What You Will Own-


Building Exceptional Teams

  • Own the talent agenda across functions, partnering with leaders to identify, attract, and build high-quality teams aligned with the firm’s growth ambitions.
  • Shape hiring approaches based on business priorities, bringing rigor to talent identification, assessment, and selection.
  • Drive the complete talent journey from sourcing and conversations through onboarding while creating a thoughtful and differentiated candidate experience.


Creating a High-Quality People Experience

  • Design and manage key moments across the team member journey including onboarding, transitions, internal movements, and exits.
  • Build simple, scalable ways of working that enable people to do their best work.
  • Maintain strong people practices, records, and processes with a focus on consistency, ownership, and experience.


Performance & Culture

  • Enable a culture of high performance through meaningful goal setting, feedback, and performance conversations.
  • Partner with leaders on people matters, team dynamics, and creating an environment where individuals and teams thrive.
  • Build initiatives that strengthen connection, engagement, and alignment with the firm’s values.


Building the People Foundation

  • Create and continuously improve people frameworks, policies, and practices that support the firm as it scales.
  • Bring structure, discipline, and thoughtful improvements to people processes and systems.
  • Ensure strong governance and compliance across people practices.


Strategic People Partnership

  • Work closely with senior leadership on organisational priorities, team effectiveness, and growth initiatives.
  • Use insights and data to identify opportunities to improve the way the firm attracts, develops, and retains talent.
  • Contribute to building a differentiated culture within a high-performance investment environment.


What We’re Looking For

  • 0-3 years of experience in a People & Culture role with exposure across talent, engagement, and people practices.
  • Experience working in high-growth, professional services, financial services, or entrepreneurial environments preferred.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently drive outcomes.
  • High maturity, discretion, and comfort working with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong judgement, communication skills, and ability to build trust across levels.
  • Someone who enjoys building, improving, and shaping people practices.
