Export Operations Manager

Knoxx Foods is a growing Australian B2B food ingredient supplier serving ready-meal manufacturers and foodservice distributors across Australia. We source premium bulk food ingredients including tomato products, Basmati rice, coconut cream, dehydrated vegetables, starches and pasta from trusted manufacturing partners across India, China, Italy, Thailand and Indonesia.

We are seeking an experienced Export Operations Manager to manage supplier coordination, export logistics, and global shipment execution from origin countries to Australia and future international markets.

Our major export port from India is Mundra and Kochi Ports, and the role will work closely with shipping lines, freight forwarders, manufacturers and logistics partners to ensure timely production, dispatch and delivery of containers.

The role will also involve periodic visits to supplier production facilities to monitor manufacturing progress, packaging readiness, and quality practices.

Reporting

You will be directly reporting to Chief Procurement Manager.

What is expected from you

Supplier Production & Co-ordination

• Coordinate with international manufacturers to monitor production schedules

• Ensure timely readiness of goods for shipment

• Monitor packaging materials, labelling and export readiness

• Ensure suppliers meet agreed production timelines

Factory Visits & Quality Oversight

• Visit supplier production facilities when required

• Monitor good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards

• Coordinate with suppliers on packaging, product specifications and shipment readiness

• Ensure production batches meet Knoxx Foods quality expectations before dispatch

• Facilitating sampling wherever required.

Export Logistics & Shipping Management

• Manage relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders and logistics partners

•Pre-plan shipment movement in collaboration with Procurement Manager

•Coordinate container bookings and vessel schedules from major export ports including Mundra

• Monitor container loading and port cut-off timelines

• Manage shipping routes and transshipment ports

Shipment Tracking

• Track shipments from factory dispatch to destination ports

• Monitor vessel schedules and manage delays

• Provide shipment status updates to internal teams

Export Documentation

Ensure accuracy of export documentation including:

• Bill of Lading

• Commercial Invoice

• Packing List

• Certificate of Origin

• Fumigation certificates

• Food safety and compliance documentation

Destination Clearance Coordination

• Coordinate with customs brokers and import agents in destination countries

• Provide documentation required for customs clearance

• Monitor shipments until containers are successfully cleared and released

Issue Resolution

• Proactively manage delays in production, shipping schedules or documentation

• Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to resolve shipment disruptions

Required Experience

• Minimum 8–10 years experience in international logistics, export operations or supply chain management

• Strong experience managing containerised ocean freight shipments

• Experience coordinating with global suppliers and manufacturers

• Strong knowledge of export documentation and international trade procedures

• Experience managing transshipment ports and vessel schedules

• Ability to coordinate across multiple countries and time zones

Preferred Location

Candidates based in Ahmedabad, Gandhidham, Mundra or nearby logistics hubs in Gujarat will be highly preferred due to proximity to Mundra Port operations.
