Job Description

Job Summary (Clinical Informaticist)

Serve as a key member of the Clinical Informatics team, collaborating with operations and clinical leaders, and the Information Systems EMR team.
Coordinate and support successful implementation, optimization, and improvements of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems across all facilities.
Plan, design, develop, implement, maintain, and evaluate clinical information systems for clinical departments.
Analyze current and future end-user requirements, procedures, and workflows to provide effective application solutions.
Collaborate with end-users to identify healthcare information challenges and develop solutions.
Participate in facility-wide process improvement initiatives related to clinical information systems.
Possess in-depth knowledge of EHR systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic), clinical decision support tools, healthcare IT, and the Systems Development Life Cycle.
Use Microsoft Office Suite (including Visio) for documentation and workflow mapping.
Provide on-site support in Chicago (3-4 days/week initially), with some remote work and occasional travel to other sites as needed.
Flexible work schedule; may include working various shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Work from vacant classrooms or hoteling spaces when on-site.
