Embedded Systems & Cloud Engineer – Early Team Member

At Y3X Innovatech pvt ltd.

We are building a multi‑parameter cardiac screening device and are now looking for a hands‑on engineer to join the core team and help take the product from prototype to scalable deployments.

This role is ideal for an engineer with strong fundamentals in embedded systems who is also excited to learn cloud, mobile, and customer‑facing work.

Role Overview :

Title: Embedded Engineer
Type: Full‑time
Location: Bhubaneswar [Hybrid]
Reporting to: Founder / CTO

You will own key parts of our device firmware and electronics, while also contributing to cloud, app, and field demo work as we run pilots with hospitals.

Key Responsibilties :

Design, implement, and debug firmware for our ECG and vital‑sign monitoring device (C/C++ on MCU/RTOS).
Work closely with hardware, data, and clinical teams to integrate sensors (ECG, SpO₂, temperature, etc.) and ensure reliable signal acquisition.
Build and maintain data pipelines from device to cloud (BLE/Wi‑Fi, MQTT/REST, basic backend services, databases, dashboards).
Support Android / web app team with APIs, integration, and basic front‑end changes when needed.
Prepare and run product demos for doctors, hospital admins, and partners; collect feedback and translate it into technical tasks.
Create clear technical documentation, test procedures, and deployment checklists.
Represent the company in meetings, conferences, and pilot deployments as a technical point of contact.

Must-have skills

2–5 years of industry experience in embedded systems / firmware development.
Strong C/C++ programming on microcontrollers (STM32 / ESP32 / similar), familiarity with SPI/UART/I²C, interrupts, low‑level debugging.
Experience with at least one of: FreeRTOS / bare‑metal embedded / similar RTOS.
Basic experience building or integrating with cloud backends (AWS / Azure / GCP) or IoT platforms (MQTT, REST APIs, device provisioning).
Comfortable working with Git, CI/CD, and Linux development environments.
Good written and verbal communication in English; able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-have skills

Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi‑Fi connectivity, or mobile app integration.
Exposure to medical devices, wearables, or other safety‑critical systems.
Familiarity with Python for scripts, data handling, or quick tools.
Prior customer‑facing experience: demos, POCs, support, or business development.
