Role Overview

Udit Group of Companies Limited is expanding its corporate team as part of its next phase of growth in the infrastructure sector.

We are seeking an experienced Design Optimization & Value Engineering Specialist with strong expertise in EPC and DBFOT highway contracts.

The purpose of this role is to bring engineering intelligence into the tendering process by analysing project designs and identifying opportunities to reduce cost, improve constructability, and propose technically viable alternative solutions.

This role will work closely with the tendering, planning, and project teams to restructure bids through design improvements and value engineering strategies, enabling the company to bid more competitively while maintaining technical compliance and project quality.

Key ResponsibilitiesTender Design Review

• Review tender drawings, DPRs, and technical specifications
• Identify areas where design optimisation can reduce cost
• Evaluate constructability and engineering efficiency

Value Engineering

Develop engineering solutions that improve project economics, including:

• Alternative structural configurations
• Optimisation of pavement design
• Earthwork balancing strategies
• Bridge and culvert design optimisation
• Reduction in material quantities without compromising safety

Alternate Design Proposals

• Prepare technically sound alternative design solutions
• Ensure compliance with IRC / MORTH standards
• Work with consultants to validate proposals where required

Tender Strategy Support

• Collaborate with the tendering department during bid preparation
• Provide engineering inputs that improve bid competitiveness
• Assist in risk identification within tender designs

Design Coordination

• Coordinate with external design consultants
• Support project teams with design clarifications during execution
• Review GFC drawings and identify improvement opportunities

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for an engineer who combines technical design capability with practical construction insight.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Experience in highway EPC / BOT / DBFOT projects
• Strong understanding of highway and bridge design principles
• Familiarity with IRC, MORTH, and NHAI standards
• Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities in design

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in:

• Infrastructure design consulting firms
• Highway design engineering roles
• EPC contractors with in-house design teams

Consulting experience with firms such as AECOM, Egis, Systra, L&T, or similar infrastructure consultants will be highly valued.

Experience

10–20 years preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
