Database Operation Expert

We are currently looking for a Database Operation Expert to join the team on an exciting project for one of our global enterprise clients.

You will have the following responsibilities:

• Administration of SQL and NoSQL database platforms (including MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and REDIS), you ensure high availability and performance, which is essential for reliable business operations.
• Working closely with other teams (application and infra), solving ongoing issues
• Incident, change and problem management
• Transforming team from reactive to proactive behaviour 
• Supporting DBA service insource transition activity 
• You will manage backup and recovery processes, and plan for disaster recovery to protect company data.
• Planning and executing database migration projects is also part of your responsibilities

You are the ideal candidate for our team if you have/are:

• Strong expertise in MySQL, MS SQL Server and/or Oracle, including clustering and Always On.
• Hands-on experience with database operation, including schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
• Solid understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning strategies.

Is an advantage if you are:

• Familiar with CI/CD practices and integrating database changes into automated pipelines
• Knowledge about additional database technologies (such as PostgreSQL, and Redis)
• Exposed to cloud-native architectures, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code
• Experienced in using Dynatrace for database monitoring
