🚨 Hiring | Dam Safety Specialist (National Expert) – DRIP Project (Replacement Requirement)

SJ SMEC India is hiring a Dam Safety Specialist (National Expert) for an immediate replacement requirement under the DRIP Project.

Educational Qualification

• Degree in Civil Engineering

Experience Requirement

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in dam engineering/dam safety
• Must have worked on at least 5 large dam projects

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct dam safety inspections and assessments as per applicable guidelines
• Support construction supervision and ensure quality assurance during dam works
• Carry out dam safety evaluations and identify potential safety risks/issues
• Assist in preparation of dam safety reports, guidelines, manuals and technical documentation
• Review design aspects related to dam safety and recommend improvements/remedial measures
• Provide technical inputs for rehabilitation and remedial works for distressed dams
• Participate in expert committee discussions and technical review meetings
• Support investigation of dam-linked distress/failure/disaster cases and suggest mitigation measures
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (hydrology, geology, geotechnical, structural, construction) for safety-related deliverables
• Ensure compliance with dam safety standards, codes and DRIP project requirements

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of dam safety practices, inspection procedures and evaluation methods
• Experience in construction supervision and QA/QC for dam projects
• Ability to prepare manuals, guidelines and safety documentation
• Exposure to dam distress analysis and remedial measures
• Good communication and coordination skills with stakeholders and project teams
