Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Site Engineer role based in Chennai. The Site Engineer will oversee daily site activities, coordinate with civil engineers, supervisors, and contractors, and ensure that work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Responsibilities include monitoring construction progress, implementing quality control procedures, conducting site inspections, and resolving technical and on-ground issues. The role involves preparing and updating site reports, maintaining material and labor records, and supporting project managers in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. The Site Engineer will also liaise with clients and internal teams to provide clear communication on project status, variations, and timelines.

Qualifications

• Strong on-site execution capabilities, with hands-on experience in supervising construction activities at live project sites.
• Background in civil engineering or structural engineering, with the ability to interpret drawings, designs, and technical specifications.
• Experience in quality control processes, including checking workmanship, materials, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with clients, engineers, contractors, and site teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of local building codes, construction methods, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in basic project documentation, reporting, and use of construction-related software or tools.
• Ability to work extended hours on site when required and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
