Role Description The Billing Engineer at Macziom Architects is responsible for managing project billing activities, ensuring accurate measurements, cost calculations, and timely preparation of bills and reports. This full-time remote role involves preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), verifying contractor bills, and coordinating with project teams to confirm quantities and rates. The Billing Engineer will perform detailed rate analysis, maintain billing records, and support quantity surveying activities for ongoing and completed projects. Daily tasks include checking drawings against site data, updating billing systems, identifying discrepancies, and recommending corrective measures. The role also involves collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure compliance with contractual terms and financial controls.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong BOQ and Quantity Surveying skills for accurate estimation and measurement of works.
  • Candidates should possess Billing Systems and Rate Analysis skills to manage project billing and evaluate cost structures.
  • Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret project data, identify variances, and support decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency with spreadsheets and basic accounting or ERP tools used for construction or architectural billing.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in architectural, construction, or engineering firms with exposure to project billing and cost control is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
