As part of its continued global expansion, the institution is seeking a CPD Lead / CPD Sales Manager to drive Continuing Professional Development (CPD), Continuing Education (CE), and professional learning growth within a designated global hub region.

The Role
The CPD Lead will take ownership of developing, promoting, and selling CPD and Continuing Education offerings within the hub's region. This individual will build strong employer partnerships, identify workforce development needs, secure commercial CPD contracts, and coordinate the delivery of short courses and micro-credentials supported by academic schools.
This is a hybrid leadership and business development role combining:

The successful candidate will serve as the central point of contact for CPD activity within the hub, ensuring commercial performance, operational excellence, and high-quality learner experience.

Key Responsibilities
CPD Market Development & Sales
  • Drive CPD/CE business development activity to achieve regional revenue and growth targets
  • Identify emerging sector opportunities and employer skills gaps
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, industry networks, and training partners
  • Manage a pipeline of prospects and convert leads into contracted program
  • Develop tailored training proposals and negotiate commercial agreements
Product Development & Program Coordination
  • Collaborate with academic schools to design and adapt short courses and micro-credentials aligned with market demand
  • Support localization of content when required
  • Maintain a master schedule of CPD programs delivered through the hub
  • Liaise with academic, quality, and administrative teams to ensure compliance and smooth delivery
Market Intelligence & Research
  • Lead or support workforce development research and skills mapping
  • Analyze regional market data to inform CPD strategy
  • Monitor competitor activity and professional learning trends
  • Recommend new areas for growth based on employer demand
Promotion & Outreach
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on promotional campaigns
  • Increase program visibility through digital channels and employer engagement events
  • Represent the institution at conferences and industry forums
  • Support webinars, masterclasses, and corporate engagement initiatives
Employer Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Build long-term employer partnerships focused on lifelong learning
  • Serve as primary contact for CPD clients
  • Deliver high-level client service and post-program follow-up
  • Coordinate structured feedback for continuous improvement
Operational Coordination
  • Implement efficient CPD workflows aligned with institutional policies
  • Coordinate enrolment, invoicing, documentation, and reporting processes
  • Ensure quality and compliance standards are met before program launch
  • Oversee scheduling, logistics, and stakeholder communication
Performance Monitoring & Growth Strategy
  • Track key metrics including enrolments, revenue, and satisfaction
  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership
  • Contribute to forecasting and annual planning
  • Recommend innovative delivery models and partnership strategies
Candidate Profile
Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Certification in training, business development, or education management is advantageous
Required Experience
  • Experience managing, selling, or coordinating CPD, short courses, or professional training
  • Demonstrated employer engagement and business development success
  • Experience identifying market needs or conducting workforce research
  • Experience establishing operational processes for training delivery
Preferred Experience
  • Background in higher education, adult learning, or professional training
  • Familiarity with micro-credentials and stackable learning frameworks
  • Experience promoting or marketing professional education products
