Competitor Product study Product and component cost estimation - Greenfield & Brownfield (Sales Price, Design to cost (D2C), Nego calculations, RPP etc.) Holistic view on Cost Engg methods and processes Teardown Analysis Technical study i.e. manufacturing process, design features, materials etc. Predicting assembly techniques and sequences Product comparison & detailed documentation Supplier interactions, vendors discussions Required skills: Knowledge on manufacturing & assembly process (Exposure on one core manufacturing process)- Machining, Forging, Casting etc. Knowledge on Mechanical and Electronics preferrable (Electro-Mechanical) Good Knowledge on Gen-AI and Digitalization tools (Added advantage) Knowledge on tool design and manufacturing (Molds, Casting & Press tool - Added Advantage) Knowledge in GD&T, drawing reading capability Measurement techniques knowledge Product development process / cycle understanding Exposure to competitor tracking (Added advantage) Product cost structure understanding Knowledge on Microsoft excel, Presentation Good problem solving & analytical capabilities Identify & suggest process improvement ideas Good communication and interpersonal skills
