Job Description

2. About the Opportunity: The Contract Performance Manager plays a critical role in driving contract productivity and supplier accountability to support the organization’s profitability and operational goals. This position leads contract performance management by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet contractual expectations and improve supplier outcomes. The role requires leadership in negotiation, contract administration, and problem resolution, contributing directly to business efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
3. Responsibilities:
- Maximize contract performance while maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Manage assigned contracts to drive cost reduction, cost avoidance, income generation, and working capital savings
- Monitor contract terms and conditions to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Hold accountability for supplier performance including safety, compliance, quality, delivery, and commercial readiness
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve supplier performance issues and implement improvement plans
- Serve as chief negotiator for significant contracts, coordinating with sourcing, legal, finance, compliance, engineering, and other stakeholders
- Oversee business approvals, supply awards, and contract authoring
- Conduct regular business reviews and manage escalation processes as defined
- Ensure timely resolution of supplier issues and act as liaison between internal teams and suppliers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to recommend improvements to products, processes, or services
- Utilize industry trends to inform decision-making
- May require up to 50% domestic travel
4. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing/Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain, or Contract Management, or high school diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience
- Proven commercial leadership and experience negotiating complex deals
- Experience drafting, negotiating, and closing contracts including business and legal terms
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems effectively
- Demonstrated project and program management capabilities
- Ability to create inclusive environments and work collaboratively across matrixed organizations
- Skilled in leveraging creative commercial solutions and coaching teams to achieve objectives
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- The base pay range for this position is 134,000.00 - 178,000.00 USD annually
- Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary or commission according to plan
- Specific pay offered will depend on the candidate’s experience, education, and skills
