Job Description

Overview

We are looking for an experienced consulting and business development leader with deep expertise in Global Business Services (GBS), Shared Services, Operating Model Transformation, and Digital Finance solutions. This role is ideal for someone who has worked in a Big 4 or leading management consulting environment, with a strong track record of driving consultative sales, client relationship management, and large transformation programs across multiple regions.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of advisory capability, solutioning expertise, executive presence, and sales leadership, along with a solid understanding of finance processes including P2P, O2C, and R2R.

Key Responsibilities

GBS & Shared Services Advisory

  • Advise clients on setting up, scaling, and optimizing Global Business Services / Shared Services organizations.
  • Lead the design and implementation of target operating models across finance functions and shared service environments.
  • Drive transformation initiatives across core finance processes including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R).
  • Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, governance models, and service performance metrics to support service quality, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.

Sales Strategy & Market Development

  • Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for GBS, Shared Services, and Finance Transformation offerings across multiple regions.
  • Build, manage, and grow a strong sales pipeline aligned with business growth targets.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, webinars, and client forums.
  • Support thought leadership, branding, and market positioning initiatives in the finance and transformation domain.

Sales Cycle Management

  • Identify and engage target clients to understand their finance transformation and operating model needs.
  • Lead the full sales lifecycle, from opportunity creation and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and closure.
  • Drive consultative conversations with senior stakeholders to position value-led transformation solutions.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders including CFOs, Controllers, Finance Leaders, and Shared Services Heads.
  • Act as a strategic advisor by bringing market insights, transformation perspectives, and practical solutions to client challenges.

Solutioning & Proposal Development

  • Work closely with internal consulting, practice, and delivery teams to develop tailored solutions and compelling proposals.
  • Ensure alignment between client needs, solution design, and delivery capabilities.
  • Support RFP responses, presentations, business cases, and executive-level proposal discussions.

AI & Digital Innovation

  • Bring innovative solutions leveraging AI, intelligent automation, predictive analytics, NLP, and Large Language Models to improve finance operations and transformation outcomes.
  • Help shape next-generation offerings in digital finance, automation, and cloud-enabled transformation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with global practice leaders, delivery teams, and marketing teams to ensure strong execution and client satisfaction.
  • Provide market feedback to enhance current service offerings and support capability development.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in sales, business development, account leadership, or consulting leadership within the GBS / Shared Services / Finance Transformation space.
  • Proven experience in consultative selling within a Big 4 or Tier 1 consulting firm.
  • Deep understanding of GBS, Shared Services, Target Operating Model design, and Finance Transformation.
  • Strong expertise in finance processes such as P2P, O2C, and R2R.
  • Demonstrated success in closing large, complex consulting and transformation deals.
  • Ability to manage long sales cycles, executive stakeholders, and multi-functional pursuit teams.
  • Strong structured problem-solving, solutioning, and proposal development skills.
  • Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, and Workday, along with exposure to RPA, AI tools, and cloud-based finance solutions.
  • Based in the United States and willing to travel for client meetings and key business engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • CA / CPA qualification preferred.
