We are seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of AWS cloud-based services. This role involves optimizing resources, managing costs, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance cloud operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure high availability and performance of AWS services while proactively monitoring and optimizing cloud usage to control costs.
• Manage incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Conduct security testing, support compliance efforts, and ensure AWS governance best practices are followed.
• Automate system processes using scripts and tools to enhance efficiency, proactively identifying and resolving infrastructure bottlenecks.
• Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshoot technical issues, and manage system backups while maintaining security, redundancy, and data recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with development, product, and security teams to align cloud operations with business objectives.
• Document operational processes, review control measures, and continuously improve efficiency.
• Manage relationships with AWS vendors and service providers, oversee CloudOps projects and KPIs, and stay updated on AWS advancements to recommend improvements.
• Provide strategic input on hardware/software needs and ensure technical resource availability.
• Maintain and optimize cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring compliance with security and industry standards.
• Lead initiatives to improve scalability, automation, and performance monitoring strategies.

Knowledge, Education and Experience

• Education: BTech/MTech in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 3-6 years in CloudOps, or related roles.
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services, automation tools, and cloud monitoring solutions.
• Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Infrastructure as Code: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, CloudFormation, and security best practices.
• Cloud Cost Management: Ability to optimize resources and manage cloud expenditures efficiently.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Work Environment: Experience in fast-paced, cross-functional teams. Experience with Product-based company preferred.

Preferred Certification:

• AWS Sysops/DevOps Engineer
