Category Head

OUTCAST is a fast-growing fashion brand redefining women’s western wear and activewear with bold, trend-forward designs. We cater to the modern woman who leads trends, not follows them.

We are looking for an experienced Category Head to lead and scale our women’s apparel categories. This role involves end-to-end ownership of category performance, including assortment planning, revenue growth, inventory management, and cross-functional execution.

Category Strategy & Ownership

• Own the P&L for the category, including revenue, margins, and growth
• Define category strategy, positioning, and expansion opportunities

Range Planning & Assortment

• Lead assortment planning based on trends, demand, and business goals
• Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to build strong collections

Sales & Performance Management

• Drive revenue growth, sell-through, and profitability
• Analyze sales performance and optimize product mix accordingly

Financial Planning & Forecasting

• Forecast sales, inventory, and margins
• Track KPIs such as GM%, inventory turnover, and discounting

Inventory & Return Management

• Ensure optimal inventory levels across channels
• Analyze return trends and implement corrective strategies

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with design, marketing, supply chain, and revenue teams
• Align product launches and campaigns with category objectives

Market & Trend Analysis

• Monitor competitor activity and market trends
• Identify growth opportunities and consumer demand shifts

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, Marketing, or a related field
• 5–8+ years of experience in category management, buying, or merchandising
• Strong understanding of women’s western wear and/or activewear
• Experience in fast fashion / D2C / apparel brands preferred
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
