Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cardiac Catheterization Technologist role based in Shivamogga. The technologist will assist cardiologists in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, preparing patients, equipment, and cath lab rooms for safe and efficient operations. Daily responsibilities include operating imaging and monitoring equipment, managing contrast media, maintaining sterile technique, and following radiation safety protocols. The role involves monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures, documenting findings, and collaborating with nursing and medical staff to support high-quality outcomes. The technologist will also help with inventory management, equipment calibration, and adherence to hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Certification and regulatory skills: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent radiologic technologist certification, with valid licensure as required.
- Clinical domain expertise: Strong knowledge in Cardiology and Cardiac Cath procedures, including diagnostic and interventional practices.
- Cath Lab operations: Experience working in a Cath Lab environment, with skills in procedure preparation, patient monitoring, and post-procedure care.
- Radiologic and imaging skills: Proficiency in Radiology principles, fluoroscopy operation, radiation safety, and imaging quality control.
- Relevant education: Diploma or degree in Radiologic Technology, Cardiac Technology, or a related allied health field.
- Technical and safety competencies: Familiarity with cath lab equipment, sterile techniques, emergency response protocols, and infection control practices.
- Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, acute care setting.
- Preferred experience: Prior experience in cardiac cath labs or cardiac care units; comfort with 24/7 hospital operations and rotational shifts.
