Job Description
Primarily responsible for the financial management of all events and box office revenues.

- Directly responsible to the Box Office Manager and the General Manager.
- Responsible to be totally trustworthy at all times in all financial responsibilities.
- Responsible to assist the Box Office Manager supervise and schedule the Box Office Staff and Receptionist/Box Office Support personnel.
- Responsible to be thoroughly familiar with the Park phone system, and to train other Box Office Staff on same.
- Responsible to present a friendly, professional attitude when on the phone, and when dealing with customers at the Box Office window.
- Responsible to be thoroughly familiar with the Ticketmaster system, and to help train other Box Office Staff members on same.
- Responsible for assisting the Box Office Manager with training the Box Office Staff, as necessary, in proper procedures for Box sales and use of the Ticketmaster system, as well as in methods of dealing with the public.
- When necessary, and in the absence of the Box Office Manager, responsible to act as a liaison between daily operations of the Box Office and Ticketmaster.
- Responsible to assist the Box Office Manager with the daily deposits and accounting for all sales.
- Responsible to assist the Box Office Manager with proper Box Office record keeping.
- Responsible to assist the Box Office Manager with preparing appropriate reports as requested by the Operations Manager.
- Responsible to assist the Box Office Manager and Operations Manager with developing and carrying out policies as they relate to Box sales and relations with the general public.
- Responsible to assist the Box Office Manager with patron problems and questions as they relate to Box Office procedures and Box sales.
- Responsible to process group sales requests and Tickets.
- Maintain high safety levels at all times for Park patrons, volunteers and employees.
- Responsible to maintain a professional atmosphere within the Cain Park Box Office.
- When representing Cain Park, present a positive image with proper dress and attitude. To help facilitate this, Box Office Staff members, including the Box Office Assistant Manager, will be required to wear Cain Park staff shirts, provided by Cain Park, whenever they are on duty in the Box Office.
- Responsible to report all problems to the Box Office Manager and/or Operations Manager. In their absence, all problems should be reported to the General Manager.
- Responsible to notify the Box Office Manager, House Manager, Stage Manager, Operations Manager and/or General Manager if there are Box Office problems, and to let them know if the Artist and/or Artist=s representative needs to be negotiated with to hold the curtain because of those problems.
- During slow times in the Box Office, work with Box Office Manager to assign Box Office Staff to help administration and/or Public Relations departments with mailing, filing, typing, gift wrapping, program stuffing, and other work which must be accomplished for the smooth running of the summer season, and to help accomplish these tasks when demands of the Box Office Assistant Manager work load permit.
- Attend any meetings as required by the Box Office Manager and/or the Operations Manager.
- Prior to receipt of the final paycheck, you will be required to submit a written final report along with the Box Office Manager, summarizing the events of the season and suggestions for improvement.
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Box Office Manager, the Operations Manager, and/or the General Manager.
- High school graduate, some college experience preferred
- Mathematical skills and the ability to handle transactions quickly and accurately
- (2) years previous management experience preferably in a retail environment
- Positive, helpful attitude toward customers, including the ability to speak clearly and convey information accurately
- Knowledge of register operation, including cash, credit cards and register receipts
