Job Role - Business Development Manager (Civil Graduate) + Waterproofing

Location - Mumbai


Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies in the construction chemicals space.
  • Identify gaps in existing product offerings and uncover opportunities for growth.
  • Conduct in-depth competitor benchmarking and market intelligence studies.
  • Product Gap Identification & Improvement
  • Evaluate current product portfolio to determine unmet needs.
  • Recommend enhancements, feature upgrades, or repositioning strategies for existing products.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to refine value propositions.
  • New Product Development
  • Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to conceptualize and develop innovative products.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization.
  • Ensure alignment of new products with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and business goals.
  • New Category Creation
  • Identify and conceptualize new product categories within the construction chemicals segment.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, demand forecasting, and business viability analysis.
  • Drive go-to-market strategies, including launch planning and promotional activities for new categories.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Provide technical insights and training support to internal stakeholders and customers where required.



Qualifications


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (mandatory).
  • Experience: 4–8 years of relevant experience in construction chemicals, building materials, or allied industries.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and translate insights into business opportunities.
  • Proven experience in product development, market research, or business development roles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
