Hiring for one of India's leading Chemical Manufacturing Company.
Job Role - Business Development Manager (Civil Graduate) + Waterproofing
Location - Mumbai
Responsibilities
- Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies in the construction chemicals space.
- Identify gaps in existing product offerings and uncover opportunities for growth.
- Conduct in-depth competitor benchmarking and market intelligence studies.
- Product Gap Identification & Improvement
- Evaluate current product portfolio to determine unmet needs.
- Recommend enhancements, feature upgrades, or repositioning strategies for existing products.
- Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to refine value propositions.
- New Product Development
- Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to conceptualize and develop innovative products.
- Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization.
- Ensure alignment of new products with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and business goals.
- New Category Creation
- Identify and conceptualize new product categories within the construction chemicals segment.
- Conduct feasibility studies, demand forecasting, and business viability analysis.
- Drive go-to-market strategies, including launch planning and promotional activities for new categories.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Provide technical insights and training support to internal stakeholders and customers where required.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (mandatory).
- Experience: 4–8 years of relevant experience in construction chemicals, building materials, or allied industries.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and translate insights into business opportunities.
- Proven experience in product development, market research, or business development roles.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation and category creation.
